What Are The Different Skin Types?

Different skin types

There are four skin types, and you should know under which one your skin falls to be able to better take care of it.

Normal Skin-type:
If you have normal skin, you are very lucky. It has fewer problems, and caring for it is easy. All it needs is to be cleaned thoroughly with a daily facial cleanser, and a moisturiser to keep it protected and soft.

Dry Skin-Type:
Dry skin produces less oil and lacks vitality. It usually has prominent lines around the eyes and mouth. This type of skin is very exposed to dryness and vulnerable against changes in weather. That’s why people with dry skin should drink plenty of water, and sometimes take vitamins, if required. You can use Phoebe Louise Cucumber Cleanser on a daily basis. It is also important to use a moisturising cream to help dry and dull skin, in the morning and night, to keep it fresh and give it the level of hydration it needs.

Oily/acne prone Skin-Type:
This type of skin has excess oil secretion, and is usually shiny, sweaty and more prone to suffer from redness, pimples, blackheads and open pores. Oily skin needs a special oil-free facial wash in the morning and night. That’s why Phoebe Louise Cucumber Cleanser offers you the Oil-Free wash that helps prevent acne and helps prevent future breakouts.

Combination Skin-Type:
This type falls within the regular skin type but oily on the T zone. This skin type needs to be well protected from sunlight as it is oilier than other skin types, and sensitive to sun damage. It requires a gentle wash to clean the pores deeply. Remember, testing your skin at the dermatologist’s is necessary to determine your skin type for sure and know which products are more suitable!
